We are looking for an Executive Chef, to join our team! As the Executive Chef of Shangri-La Singapore, you will lead and oversee the culinary operations across the hotel’s dining concepts. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional culinary experiences that reflect Shangri-La’s legendary hospitality, while ensuring operational excellence, food safety, and team development.
Job Responsibilities
- Culinary Leadership & Menu Development
- Design and innovate menus that reflect Shangri-La’s brand identity and seasonal offerings
- Ensure consistency and excellence in food quality, taste, and presentation across all outlets
- Lead culinary innovation while preserving authenticity and cultural relevance
- Operational Management which includes overseeing kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Manage kitchen budgets, food costs, labor costs, and inventory control
- Implement and monitor food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations
- Team Management & Development which include recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing culinary team
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions
- Guest Experience & Quality Assurance
- Ensure guest satisfaction through consistent culinary excellence
- Collaborate with F&B and service teams to enhance the overall dining experience
- Address guest feedback and implement improvements promptly
- Work closely with the General Manager and senior leadership to align culinary strategies with business goals
- Support marketing and promotional initiatives through culinary contributions
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury hotel
- Minimum 15 years of culinary experience, with at least 8 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of international cuisines and specialty culinary techniques
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification preferred
