Looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support our Nutrition & Food Science (NFS) Department in preparing ingredients and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment for students' practical lessons.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion ingredients for practical lessons.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen laboratories, pantry and equipment.
- Assist with stock checking, grocery deliveries and inventory management (FIFO).
- Support teachers during N-Level/O-Level practical examinations.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
Requirements
- Valid WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate (formerly Basic Food Hygiene).
- Valid Standard First Aid Certificate.
- Experience in a school, catering or commercial kitchen preferred.
- Good knife skills and able to perform manual cleaning and lifting tasks.
- Able to communicate in English.
- Punctual, responsible and enjoys working in a school environment.
Duration/Working hour:
6 months (Jun 2026 to Sep 2026)
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays (i.e. 8AM – 1PM). No weekends or Public Holidays
