Job Responsibilities

  • Understand innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
  • Understand kitchen operations, including menu recipes, costing, and selling prices.
  • Manage yields, participate in taste panels, and implement food cost controls.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with food preparation regulations.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

  • Culinary Arts degree or equivalent.

  • Food Handler’s Certificate.

  • SERV Safe Certification (or equivalent food safety certification).

  • Any additional relevant certifications in specialized cuisines or dietary needs.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment.

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred.

  • Proven history of creating successful menus and managing kitchen operations

Other Prerequisites

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Understanding how to use Excel & Windows applications to create, save and organize recipe files to folders.

  • Be clear on Ariba functionality

  • Become EATEC Super User and Trainer to culinary Team

  • Exceptional knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
