Head Chef

Malthouse is a neighbourhood bar and venue in the heart of Siglap, known for great drinks, live sports, and a relaxed community atmosphere. We're looking for a capable, hands-on chef to run our small kitchen and deliver a quality food offering that keeps our guests happy.

The Role

This is a hands-on position leading a small kitchen team of 2–3. You'll be responsible for day-to-day kitchen operations, putting together a straightforward but quality menu that complements our bar, and making sure food is prepared and served consistently well. Not fine dining — just good, honest comfort food done right.

Weekday evening shifts plus all day on weekends. 5 day work week.

What You'll Do

• Run daily kitchen operations from prep through to service
• Develop and maintain a simple but interesting, bar-friendly menu
• Keep on top of food costs, stock, and supplier orders
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
• Lead and support a small kitchen team

What We're Looking For

• Solid experience in a kitchen, ideally in a bar or casual dining setting
• Comfortable working in a small team and getting stuck in yourself
• Good understanding of basic food costing and stock management
• Reliable, organised, and easy to work with
