Service Manager

Malthouse is a casual neighbourhood restaurant and bar in Siglap, and we're looking for a Service Manager to help us keep things running smoothly — on the floor, behind the bar, and everything in between.

This isn't a corporate role. You won't be managing SLAs or collaborating with an engineering team. You'll be making sure guests feel looked after, the team is dialled in, and the shift runs well from open to close.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the front-of-house team day-to-day — setting the tone, keeping standards up, and being the person staff turn to when things get busy or complicated
• Working the floor and bar yourself; this is a hands-on role, not a clipboard job
• Handling rosters, shift planning, and making sure we're never caught short-staffed on a big sports night
• Owning the guest experience — dealing with issues on the spot and making sure people leave happy
• Helping onboard and train new staff so they fit into the Malthouse way of doing things
• Keeping an eye on the bar — stock, wastage, opening and closing procedures

What we're looking for

• A few years of floor or bar management experience in a hospitality setting
• Someone who leads by doing, not by delegating
• Calm under pressure, especially when it's packed and loud
• Good with people — guests and staff alike
• Organised enough to manage a roster and flag problems before they become problems
• Genuine love for hospitality; you're here because you like it, not just because it pays
