Demi Chef / Chef de Partie – Malthouse, Siglap

Malthouse is a neighbourhood bar and kitchen on East Coast Road. We serve pizzas, burgers and smoked meats, with 20 taps of cold beer and a beer garden full of regulars, families and their dogs. It's busy, it's friendly and nobody takes themselves too seriously.

We're looking for a Demi Chef or Chef de Partie to run a section and help keep the kitchen sharp.

Full-time · 44 hours a week · Around $2,800/month

What you'll do

• Run your section through prep and service, to the standard the Head Chef sets
• Cook across the menu: pizzas, grill, burgers and smoked meats
• Keep your station clean, organised and stocked, and follow food safety rules
• Help with ordering, stock rotation and keeping wastage down
• Support and guide junior cooks, and step up when the Head Chef is off
• Help out with specials, BBQ nights and events

What we're looking for

• Experience in a busy kitchen, as a Demi Chef, CDP or a strong Cook ready to step up
• Solid Western cooking. Pizza, grill or smoker experience is a plus
• Fast, tidy and calm under pressure
• A team player who's reliable and turns up ready to work
• Attitude matters more to us than a fancy CV
