Kitchen Assisant Manager

Description

We are casual Izakaya style Japanese Restaurant specialising in Yakitori.

We are hiring a Kitchen Assistant Manager for a yakitori izakaya in Telok Ayer.

You will support both cooking and daily kitchen operations. Candidates without yakitori experience will receive training in skewer preparation and grilling.

■Responsibilities

・Prepare ingredients, cook dishes and handle the yakitori grill
・Coordinate daily kitchen service
・Assign duties and train kitchen staff
・Maintain food quality, hygiene and safety standards
・Manage stock, ordering and food waste
・Lead kitchen operations when the person in charge is absent

■Requirement

・Previous cooking experience in a commercial kitchen
・Able to guide, train and give instructions to staff
・Able to communicate work instructions in basic English
・Legally eligible to work in Singapore

Candidates with experience as a Kitchen Supervisor, Team Leader, Senior Cook, or in yakitori and charcoal grilling will be given preference.

■ Salary

Basic salary: S$3,200–S$3,500 + overtime pay

【44-Hour Work Plan】

・5-day work week, Monday to Friday
・Saturdays and Sundays off
・44 working hours per week
・Estimated gross monthly salary: S$3,200–S$3,500

【50-Hour Work Plan】

・5.5-day work week
・Sundays off
・Saturday dinner shift only
・44 regular hours + 6 scheduled overtime hours per week
・Estimated gross monthly salary: S$3,800–S$4,200

Location: Telok Ayer

Work arrangement: Split shifts with a 2.5-hour break between shifts

※The estimated gross salary for the 50-hour plan includes scheduled overtime. Actual monthly pay will vary according to the overtime hours worked.
