Key Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the Nutrition & Food Science (NFS) kitchen, preparation room, and equipment.

Clean kitchen equipment, workstations, sinks, stoves, refrigerators, floors, and other food lab facilities.

Wash and maintain cleaning cloths, aprons, and other kitchen items.

Organise and tidy teacher and student workstations after each lesson.

Manage and maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.

Assist in ensuring gas taps, electrical switches, and knives are safely secured.

Prepare ingredients for practical lessons, including cutting, weighing, packing, and storing.

Monitor daily stock of perishable food and coordinate with the teacher-in-charge.

Operate basic kitchen and food science equipment (e.g. blender, electric steamer, rice cooker, refractometer).

Receive and verify food deliveries and support NFS teachers during practical lessons.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements

Completed primary school education.

Minimum 3 years of experience in food handling, kitchen operations, or simple administrative duties, preferably in an educational institution.

Able to work independently, efficiently, and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Familiarity with basic kitchen and food science equipment is an advantage.
Duration/Working hours:
12 months contract ( Option to extend another month)(Jan 2027 to Dec 2027)
- Mondays to Thursdays: 6:30am to 3:30pm, inclusive of 0.5hr lunch break
- Fridays: 6:30am to 3:00pm, inclusive of 0.5hr lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
