Job Responsibilities
Responsible for handling customer payments, processing orders, issuing receipts, and maintaining accurate cash records. The cashier must provide friendly and efficient customer service while ensuring smooth daily restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers politely and assist with payment transactions.
Handle cash, credit/debit cards, PayNow, and other accepted payment methods.
Operate the cashier system (POS) accurately and efficiently.
Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
Maintain accurate cash balances and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
Assist customers with menu enquiries, prices, promotions, and payment matters.
Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure orders are processed correctly.
Keep the cashier counter clean, organised, and presentable.
Prepare daily sales summaries and assist with cash reconciliation when required.
Follow restaurant procedures, hygiene standards, and company policies.
Assist with packing takeaway orders or other restaurant duties when necessary.
Requirements:
Minimum secondary education preferred.
Previous cashier or customer service experience is an advantage.
Basic numerical and computer skills.
Honest, responsible, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
