Job Descriptions

• To demonstrate a top notch service quality in greeting and seating guests, presenting menus and wine lists, taking and delivering orders ;
• Possess commanding knowledge of the wine list, a thorough understanding of the menu and how the two pair, all other selection of food offered in order to make good recommendation based on customer preference
• Cater to guest wine needs throughout dinner service, including but not limited to wine tastings, pouring/refilling wine glasses, answering guests’ questions, and providing memorable guest service;
• Must have explicit knowledge of all restaurant food menus and item preparation to develop a wine program that works synonymously with the culinary programs, specifically wine pairings for all menu items;
• To ensure the restaurant’s wine list and offerings maintain current and the wine menus are up-to-date and presentable;
• To handle customer feedbacks/complaints;
• To host and organize wine tasting event upon guests’ request;
• To procure, upkeep and manage the wine inventories and establish good relationship with vendors and negotiate good pricing;
• To conduct ongoing staff training for wine service technique and knowledge;
• To Work with Operation Manager to maintain a top-notch beverage program that meets revenue goals;
• Any other duties that assigned from time to time

Requirements

• at least 2 years of working experience in wine-related industry ;
• at least 2 years of wine-related working experience in luxury hotel/fine dining restaurant will be considered as priority ;
• Possess WSET 3/4 & CMS CS/AS Certificate Holder Priority ;
• Possess extensive knowledge of wines, especially Burgundy wine ;
• Have Knowledge of vineyards and wineries and understand winemaking process, will be an added advantage ;
• Strong interpersonal and sales skills with good verbal and written communication skills ;
• Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment;
• Able to work in flexible hours including late hour, weekends/public holidays ;
• Strong attention to detail, with a keen eye for presentation and quality

Requirements

• 3+ years of working experience in wine-related industry
• 3+ years of wine-related working experience in luxury hotel/fine dining restaurant will be considered as priority
• WSET 3/4 & CMS CS/AS Certificate Holder Priority
• Extensive knowledge of wines, especially Burgundy wine.
• Have Knowledge of vineyards and wineries
• Understand winemaking process
• Have individual tasting logic/method/preference
• Good communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail, with a keen eye for presentation and quality
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
