**Position: SERVER and BARISTA assistant**

**Location: Marymount Bakehouse, UPPER THOMSON, RACE COURSE ROAD**

**WE’RE HIRING**

Front of House Supervisor in Training / Breadmonger

We’re looking for someone with strong people, leadership and organisational experience to join Marymount Bakehouse.

You do not need to come from a strong café or barista background.

What matters to us is that you are comfortable taking responsibility, communicating with a team, staying organised and bringing experience from your previous roles. We will train you in the areas of service, F&B operations, breadmongering and beverage preparation that are specific to us.

This is a training and development role, with the intention of growing you into greater Front of House responsibility as you become familiar with our service standards and operations.

What you’ll be doing:

• Learn and support daily Front of House operations

• Welcome guests and provide warm, sincere hospitality

• Learn our menu, breads and how to recommend them as a Breadmonger

• Support guest flow, table service, queues and order taking

• Communicate closely with the kitchen during service

• Learn opening, closing and shift handover procedures

• Assist with beverage and coffee preparation

• Learn basic espresso, milk texturing and drink assembly

• Prepare, restock and maintain the beverage station

• Keep the Front of House organised, clean and service-ready

• Bring your previous work and leadership experience into the way you organise, communicate and support the team

Who we’re looking for:

Someone who is mature, responsible and willing to learn.

You should be comfortable receiving feedback, stepping into unfamiliar areas and learning through hands-on service. Previous leadership, supervisory, retail, hospitality or operational experience is valued, even if your direct F&B experience is limited.

We’re not expecting you to know everything from Day One.

We are expecting you to bring the experience you already have, learn the parts you don’t, and progressively grow into the role.

**Trainee Baristas**! You will also be a barista

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Serve food from pass to table, Clear tables and turnover for next guest.

- Prepare a variety of cold and hot drinks as we introduce this fresh beverage offering, with a focus on quality and consistency.

- Keep stock of necessary ingredients to ensure smooth daily operations.

- Serve beverages to customers, providing friendly and attentive service.

- Wash cups and assist with general clean-up to keep operations running smoothly.

- Support the counter staff when needed, particularly during peak hours.

- Maintain a tidy and hygienic workstation, adhering to health and safety protocols.

- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

- No prior barista experience is required—this is a fresh start for everyone, and training will be provided.
